In a secular country, we talk about several types of marriage including Christian marriage. How is this so-called Christian marriage going?

The wedding cerebration or the wedding ceremony is the culmination of a long process of union between a Christian and a Christian. Marriage is God's oldest institution. The very first marriage in human history took place between Adam and Eve.

The Eternal God said: It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper like him.

Out of the ground the LORD God formed all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the sky, and brought them to man, to see what he would call them, and that every living thing might bear the name that the 'man.

And the man gave names to all the cattle, to the birds of the sky, and to all the animals of the field; but for man he found no helper like him.

Then the Eternal God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, who fell asleep; he took one of his ribs, and closed the flesh in its place.

The LORD God formed a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and he brought her to the man.

And the man said: This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh! she will be called woman, because she was taken from man.

Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

We can note that marriage is a religious institution, which is why Apostle Saint Paul recommended that marriage be honored by all and the marital bed free from defilement because God will judge harlots and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4.

First, the man must choose the one that is his rib at the end of a long process that we are not going to develop here. Then, the man must make the wish to the sister who can accept or refuse it. If the wish is accepted, the man must dower the girl, then legalize their union by civil marriage with the competent authorities. It is after all these steps that the wedding ceremony is organized where the two spouses are united in the holy marital bond before God and men. The marriage can then be consummated. Any sexual act between the two spouses before this marriage ceremony is sin, a life of debauchery, fornication.

It should be noted that Christian marriage is a process led from start to finish by a Pastor and in close collaboration with the two families of the spouses. Spouses cannot conduct themselves there on their own. Moreover, a girl is given in marriage by the parents.
